Food  culture 饮食文化(双语教案)

* Teaching Aims  教学目标:

I.  The students will know the Eight cuisines of the Han Nationality in China.

II. The order of Western-style food.

III. The students will develop their abilities of analysis, discussion and cooperation in groups.

   (培养学生的分析、讨论和团队合作能力。)

IV. Western-style food in different countries

V. Tableware ,Table manners.

*Bilingual Aims双语目标:

I.   The students will know the English name of these food from the game and students’ introductions, just like: Caviar , goose liver sauce, dessert spoonand so on.

II.  The students will describe the important table manners by the performance表演.

III.  The students will immerge into the bilingual environment.

(使学生浸身于双语环境中。)

Key Point and Difficult Point 重点与难点:

  *Key Point重点: Know the order of Table manners.Know some kinds of the Table manners

  *Difficult Point难点:培养学生运用表演能力training the capability of using and performance.

Teaching Process教学过程:

[导入]

(学生游戏):I am happy to have a special lesson with you ,so ,are you ready?

Before our class ,I’d like to ask you one question .So,×××,what’s your favorite food ?

And what’s your favorite food?

Now ,let’s play a game .The student behind ×××should say “×××’s favorite food is ×××.And my favorite food is ×××”(Are you clear?)

[新课讲授]

Part one:

Speaking of food ,do you remember the Eight cuisines of the Han Nationality in China ?Now please look at the screen ,let’s match the type of cuisine and the picture.

(八道代表菜,八个菜系,in English)

Part two :

With the passage of time ,our Chinese food is influenced by other countries.

Do you know some words in Chinese comes from English words,which we just translate it in pronunciation. Let me give you one example .hamburger汉堡包

Can you give some other words about food? (学生回答)

 

Part three:

Western-style food in different countries:

Oh ,I find you all can’t wait to learn more about Western-style food .Let’s begin with breakfast.

People always eat bread ,sandwich ,and drink milk and orange juice for their breakfast.

The next meal is lunch.   The most important of “fast food”is the word “fast”.

So ,are they delicious ?Are they  good for our health?

What’s your view about fast food?(学生回答)

(总结):The fast food always contain high caloric and don’t haveenough nutritive elements according to the healthy food’s requirement

Part four:

The order of Western-style food

We have known so many things about Western-style food .And we all want to walk near to it .Now let’s walking into a Western-style food.

Starter :The first thing I’d like to say is in China ,the dishes are placed on The table and everybody shares. But in the West ,everyone has their own plate of food.

The first course in Western food is called starter or appetizer.  Caviar , goose liver sauce, Sautéed snail are common. The quantity is few .It can stimulate the appetite.
(常见的品种有鱼子酱、鹅肝酱、焗蜗牛等。数量较少,主要用来增加食欲.)

Soup:There are  butter soup ,clam soup , Italian style vegetable soup ,  Russian soup (borscht) , French style onion soup.(品种有各式奶油汤、美式蛤蜊汤、意式蔬菜汤、俄式罗宋汤,法式洋葱汤.)

Main course:  Meat, or seafood is an entree.   (肉类,海鲜类菜肴是主菜。)

Part five:

Tableware: Know something about Western food.(展示实物,请学生来说.然后看图,一个一个来指出读法和作用.

1, 一般餐具摆设图(午宴、晚宴均适用)
butter plate and knife奶油碟子和奶油刀。
dessert spoon甜点匙。
glass饮料杯。
salad plate沙拉盘。
napkin餐巾。
main course fork主菜叉子。
salad fork沙拉叉子。
main plate主菜盘。
main course knife主菜刀子。
soup spoon汤匙。
cup, saucer, and teaspoon茶(咖啡)杯、碟和茶匙。

Table manners :

Now ,we know the tableware of Western-style food. Look at this table .I’ll asone student to come here and show us how to sit down and us all these things.(学生上台展示,可请多个)
